  1. Items such as brutalizer and heart of gold are great bang for your buck. In twisted treeline these are a must!
  2. If playing twitch or Evelynn, stay stealthed for long periods of time in your lane. Pop out just before stealth runs out. After doing this 4 or 5 times, stealth and immediately run to another lane. The champion will of stopped calling you missing and you should be up for an easy gank.
  3. Knock up spells like Janna’s tornado and Alistar’s pulverize are not affected by mercury tread’s stun reduction.
  4. Mana Regen yellow runes combined with meditation in the utility tree can make non-ap champions such as Shaco or Pantheon able to spam their spells without having to drop 1 thousand gold on a chalice of harmony.
  5. It is often beneficial to force teamfights on bottom or top lane using 4 people. Then put your heavy pusher in the opposite lane. This can easily cost the other team a tower or two and gives the pusher time to get out once they rotate.
  6. Using a spell that makes a circle on the ground (like Nunu’s sub-zero and pantheon’s Grand Skyfall) are not visible to enemies if cast into a bush that they are not in.
  7. In low levels, like level 1, pop a health potion right before you fight a champion. The 200 health can mean the difference between first blood and a trip back from the fountain.
  8. All towers can see stealth, so beware!
  9. Mobile champions like Pantheon, Twisted Fate, and Shen can be used to put pressure on lanes during team fights. Simply wait for an engage and teleport to an empty lane.
  10. Blademail and ignite is an effective counter to leeching champions like Warwick and Nasus.
  11. Champions such as Katrina and Gangplank can reduce healing done to their targets. They are crucial to have when facing a team with healers.
  12. The most valuable runetype for physical champions such as Pantheon or Ezreal is armor penetration. Armor penetration is difficult to otherwise get and makes your champion disgustingly deadly.
  13. Programs such as Skype and Ventrillo can increase your team’s communication by providing voice chat in game.
  14. The champions that are able to jungle are Nunu, Trundle, Warwick, Malphite, Shaco, Fiddlesticks, and Rammas. A 2v1 lane can give your team a large level advantage.
  15. Use clairvoyance at the start of the game on their spawn. If timed right you will see where their champions are heading and can send your champions in lanes to counter them.
  16. Blinking to baron or dragon spawn from jungle can be an effective escape method.
  17. The 1 gold /10 seconds talent in the utility tree know as greed is useless. In a 30 min game it will yield you a measly 180 gold.
  18. Fortify can be useful to improve the last hitting ability of low damage champions such as Annie. It can also allow your team to be more risky endgame.

  1. Nice tips but:
    1. Whats a blademail? Its not in league of legends.
    2. N is missing champions like Nunu, Trundle etc.

    Other than that, great list.

    • Blademail was a typo. In DOTA, there was an item similar to LOL’s thronmail called blademail.

I just had a brain fart when typing.

Thanks for the info and for reading!

  2. Just out of curiosity, how does Fortify improve last hitting abilities? Fortify makes the turret attack faster/aoe’s so it just eats up your creeps early game so you can’t farm them…
Also, I think Annie’s kind of a bad example. She’s a great last hitter early game since she can farm with disintegrate.

  3. It’s the last part of fortify that helps farmingwise.

“when fortify is ready to cast, you deal 9 bonus damage to minions”

  4. You guys have to update this just a little Junglers: 1. Nocturne 2. Amumu?

  5. He also didn’t include Udyr. He’s one of the best junglers in League.

  6. What about yi?
